This is a skin-contact or orange wine from Grüner Veltliner grapes. Wild ferment in open tanks and left in contact with the grape skins for 7 days, then pressed and matured in acacia wood barrels. No fining or filtration and just a minimum amount of added sulphur dioxide at bottling. Zündstoff translates as an explosion and we get an aromatic explosion of exotic spices like cardamom, ginger and cloves. Tasting of red apples and more ginger, very dry and mineral. 12.5% ABV
